FAQ for Smart Translator
Please swipe up from the bottom of the screen to select the desired language on the voice translation page.
On the voice translation page, swipe from the left side of the screen to right and click “Face-to-face Translation”. The face-to face translation page is divided into up and down two areas so that the original translated text spoken by the two parties can be shown for the communication. Having each party looking at their part of the screen, the communication between different languages can be achieved in no difficulties. The user as the device owner, presses the lower orange area will activate the orange ripples to shine, implying the user is having the time to speak and vice versa. When the upper area of the screen is pressed activating the blue ripples to shine, it is the time for the other party to speak.
Manual Mode: When the environment is noisy, the distribution of the discourse power in the automatic mode is likely to be inaccurate. Then turning on the manual mode, the speaking side can touch their part of the screen to gain the discourse power and speak. Meanwhile, the original text will be shown on the speaker’s side of screen and the real-time translated text will be shown on the other’s side. And based on the communication paces, the translation will be broadcast as well.
Interrupting Scenario: In the manual mode, when one is speaking, touching one’s screen area to interrupt the speaking process and speaking it again is allowed. At the same time, it is also allowed for other party to interrupt the speaking process regaining the discourse power to speak.
On the face-to-face translation page, click "Languages" that in the middle part of the right side of the screen to select the languages for the two parties.
